Church of St Francis of Assisi at Old Goa

Posted on October 4, 2013

Church-of-St-Francis-of-AssThis splendid building was earlier a small which consists of three attars and a choir which were constructed by five Franciscan Friars in 1517. This was then converted into a fascinating building of finely carved woodwork, old murals telling tales of life of St. Francis and a floor of carved gravestone, with family coats and arms of the 1500’s.
